I have seen all sorts of things. Lots of them are beautiful and lots of them are hard too. Either way, they often make me want to sing. It celebrates the good and helps to turn the hard in to something useful coaxing good from the bad. I learned to try to do that from someone, somehow, somewhere along the way.
The other thing music does is helps me say things I don't quite have the words for. The music helps fill in the gaps and communicate what I wanted to say. The times when I am singing are some of the only times in my life where I feel that I have said what I wanted to say clearly, with no qualifications.
