Currently, my main focuses musically are contributing to The Heartland Church Worship Team in Irving, Texas, playing in a duo format with my wife Tish, starting a new group Reality Bites with Scott Warren, Alex Hahn and Dane Petersen, playing with Signed, Sealed Delivered, recording my own project and teaching.
I like to think that I began my musical career at age 5 studying piano before switching to guitar. While a jazz Studies major at the University of North Texas, I was fortunate to win a collegiate Downbeat Award and perform and tour with their world renowned lab bands.
Upon completion of a Bachelor of Music degree, I settled in Dallas and began working with a variety of R&B, pop, rock and jazz bands throughout Texas, the Midwest, Canada, and Mexico. I have been a member of local favorites Random Axis, Tocar, The Bill Tillman Band, Tom Braxton and No Compromise and Dallas Brass and Electric. I also perform with my wife Tish Garceau in our own duo. I've performed at many venues and events including the Ft Worth Main Street Festival, The Denton Music and Arts Festival, Taste of Dallas, the Gridiron Show and Artfest and have also shared the stage or opened for such greats as Joe Lavano, Buddy Guy, Chubby Checker, Ambrosia, Three Dog Night, the Little River Band and Edgar Winter.
I have taught at the National Guitar Summer Workshop with some of the Northeast's top teachers and clinicians and continue to teach privately. From 2000-2004 I served as guitarist and band leader at Meadowcreek Community Church of Mesquite (now Lakepointe Town East). Currently I live in Lewisville with my wife Tish and our son Milo. I'm a part of the Heartland Church Worship Team and maintain a live performance and recording schedule throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth area as well as a teaching position at Brook Mays Music Company in Lewisville, Texas. I'm also on the web at www.paulgarceau.com www.tishandpaul.com and my production site www.guitartogo.com
