"De Noche" (Piloto y Vera) is originally from a CD of a great Cuban singer Malena Burke together with the Cuban band of all times, NG La Banda. Arrangement is rearranged to UMO Big Band by Jere Laukkanen, with whom Pauliina has had a pleasure to work with for several years.

Vocalist Pauliina May is highly appreciated stage personality. She was raised in a musical environment and refined her skills at the conservatories of the Pop&Jazz Conservatory in Helsinki, Finland (1991-1996) and in The Latin Music Department of The Rotterdam Conservatory in Holland, from where she graduated with a Diploma degree of 9/10 on 2000. During her career Pauliina May has explored the worlds of Jazz, Afro-Cuban music, Brazilian music and Argentinean Tango up to Finnish lyrical and dancing music. Pauliina has performed at international festivals and jazz clubs with several orchestras and big bands from various countries.

Pauliina May has worked within jazz from duos to lead vocals with big bands. She has her own jazz quintet Pauliina May Jazz Quintet.
Salsa:
She has been a guest vocalist to Salsa bands in Holland, such as Lucas van Merwijk Cu-Bop City BB, Rumbatá, Saoco, Conjunto Irawó, Corazon Ardiente, Eric y su Chocolate. She has also toured as a salsa vocalist even as far as to the Caribbean Islands

Pauliina May has been selected twice to the finals in Jazz Competitions: Lady Summertime in Finland (ll price), 1993 and Erasmus Jazz Price in Holland (ll price), 2000.
TV & Radio:
Pauliina May has appeared on television and radio in Finland, Holland, Romania and Antillean Islands. The concert together with Romanian Radio Big Band January 2007 (Music of a Finnish composer Jukka Linkola) was broadcasted into 21 countries around Europe by EBU !(European Broadcasting Union)
