I HAVE BEEN SINGING FOR HIM, since I was a child. Sang my first real solo, in church, at about age 10. My parents gave me a great love for music. From my earliest memory, piano playing and hymn singing filled our home.......
IN 1972..... I BEGAN A MINISTRY OF EVANGELISM, singing and preaching. We began the work with single church Revivals...and eventually grew into a mulit-denominational CRUSADE MINISTRY that spanned from coast to coast in the USA........
IN 1980.....WITH THE HELP OF AN OUTSTANDING STAFF & TEAM, and the full support of my beautiful wife, KATHY, we began conducting multi-church Crusades as well as large single-church Crusades. Over the years, we sang and preached to hundreds of thousands of people....and witnessed the conversion and spiritual transformation of tens of thousands! We shared platforms with THE CATHEDRALS....JACK PRICE...THE STAMPS QT...THE IMPERIALS...TRUTH... DAVID MEECE...CHRISTY LANE...and dozens more....DURING THE CRUSADE YEARS WE BEGAN WRITING SONGS..... IN 1989, PRISM Music, of Nashville,TN, gave us our first major release when it made our tune, "WE SERVE A MIGHTY GOD", the title song of a JACK PRICE "Simply Gospel Series" Choral collection, arranged by CAMP KIRKLAND. Other composers who had songs in the collection included, BABBIE MASON... DOTTIE RAMBO... EDDIE CARSWELL, & DIANNE WILKINSON. I felt like I had arrived.... PRISM Music went on to do many of my songs, using top Producers/Arrangers like, LARI GOSS... STEVE POTTS... DON MARSH... MARTY HAMBY... and CAMP KIRKLAND... OUR GOSPEL SONGS have been used by such Artist and Producers as THE HAPPY GOODMANS... ROGER TALLEY... BILL GAITHER... IVAN PARKER... MARK TRAMMELL... LARI GOSS... JOHNNY MINICK... THE STONE BROTHERS...and VESTAL GOODMAN!... To GOD be the Glory!.......
IN late 2006.....THE LEGENDARY PROPHETS QUARTET was reborn in the heart of it’s original owner/manager/baritone, hall of famer ED HILL. Founder Hill, and his new partner, Rev JOHNNY MINICK (of Happy Goodmans, Gaither Homecoming fame), approached me about singing Lead for the revitalized PROPHETS’...and bringing with me some of my original material. The honor to sing with the iconic Ed Hill and my long-time AR friend, Johnny Minick, proved irresistable. So after much prayer and counsel....AND with the full support of my wife and sons, I got on board with THE PROPHETS QUARTET...circa 2008.....Baritone: ED HILL - Tenor: BILL BAIZE - Bass: MIKE ALLEN - Lead: PAUL JACKSON - Pianist: EDDIE CROOK....our FIRST CD is scheduled to be released in early 2008.
