Debut performances for a new Ensemble, a sextet featuring guitarist Otto Fischer (‘alluring and assured’...’wild man Fischer’); virtuoso ‘cellist Hannah Marshall; bassist Dominic Lash (‘endless efforts to veer left of every known note or chord’ ); percussionist Javier Carmona; Alexander Hawkins (piano, melodica, compositions/arrangements); and master multi-instrumentalist Orphy Robinson (steel pan, pocket trumpet, etc.)
So good to hear the magnificent sound of your band and see it on the vid. I still remember seeing you at the Battersea Barge with Fiona Rowden a few months back - you were pure class.
A big thanks to all my friends... I just went over 10,000 listens on my player. I've added a fifth tune to my player, an arrangement of Scott Henderson's "Harpoon", the leader and guitar player of Tribal Tech.
Hiya,
If you're not doing anything tonight come to 1001 Cafe on Brick Lane. Me and my friends, violinists Helen Bower and Sarah Telman are playing some sultry acoustic music. It starts about 9! It'd be lovely to see you there!
