A songwriter's musician, Paul K is a veteran of the Kentucky music scene with over 30 recordings under his belt. If you are traveling through the Bluegrass region, you can catch Paul K playing an acoustic set every Wednesday night FREE at ADI's in Louisville KY. Arguably one of the best bars for original music in the United States, Air Devils has hosted a long tradition of singer-song writers. In the spirit of the late Townes Van Zandt, this is truly where Paul K is at his best. From the song writing to the story telling, Paul K is an authentic voice in an overly mastered world. Be sure to stop in and have a drink. You won't be disappointed!
Air Devils Inn in Louisville KY, like the band, has seen better days but is still one of the most authentically satisfying in town. The band, like the club, is a solid, working class blues rock outfit with a sharp intellectual edge. This is not “their best lineup ever” nor is it a “startling change in direction” or “the sound of new ground being broken.” This is simply a great rock group doing what they know best with the most minimal amount of bullshit. The triple disc “Panopticon”, released in early winter of 2006, had been greeted as something of an enigma, unclassifiable and far from commercially viable. Nevertheless, the group prospers and is now in its 23nd year of playing raw pop music for Kentuckians.
February 2008 marks the debut of the latest release Maintain Radio Silence. Where Panopticon was ear candy for fans who've been with the band since Paul K's debate scholarship at University of Kentucky back in the early 1980's; this album makes a strong appeal to newer listeners who are merely acquainted with the legend of all that is Paul K. It is well known that the long time fan base has often been split by album titles and three pint discussions. Maintain Radio Silence provides something for everyone and incorporates new songs, covers, instrumentals, spoken word and a Detroit boys ballad for the Bluegrass State. This album grows on you with each spin from start to finish. At the end of 2008 Maintain Radio Silence will be the album your favorite audiophiles will be clamoring to download.

Great night in the studio Paul! Can't wait to cast the new tunes out on the water. I'm still getting over the fact that you've written forty pages worth of new material since July!
