Paul. I so want to send your studio version of "Broken" into our local Christian Radio station. It's called "the fish", 103.9 California station. I love the recording. It could be played today on the radio. Nice, nice job. I will definately download this to myspace page. Awesome!
I liked your "vision" in your blog about "The Shack." I stumbled upon the acoustic version of Word of God Speak, and it took me to "the Shack" Strangely enough. Funny how hearing a song acoustically can impact it's delivery. I downloaded it on my page if you want to hear it. Knowing you, you'll appreciate it.
Finished "the shack" and I am reading it again. When I finished it, I was overwhelmed, but in a good way. What I took from it was mostly my examination of my relationship with God and how I have been a rule follower all my life, living with expectations and obligations, intead of expectancy. When I finished it, I was speechless, but not thoughtless. I am reading it again, as someone would read a bible verse twice to allow myself to absorb things I missed. I found myself in thought constantly and as I moved through the storyline, I was still thinking about the chapter I read the previous day. I believe this book has enlightened me to the ability to live with Jesus in my every breath and second of my day, to be one with him always. This Christmas season, I feel more convicted than ever before and Jesus has been in my heart, mind and soul constantly. I love how this feels.
Thank you so much for the Add! There are a lot of great things happening: our new website is about to launch and our debut album will coming out shortly! Stop by and say hi or even catch us live at the Daily Grind.
Purchased "The Shack" yesterday. I picked it up last night to begin, but stopped because I had a sense that I may not be able to put it down. I'm saving the start of it for tomorrow since I'm off work. Looking forward to the emotion and experiece of this book.
Hello big brother. I really like that's how you save me. Can you upload old ingrey songs?? I know they do not compare for you but some of those are good...ok hope you are doing good. love ya.
Hey Paul - so glad you have "Broken" available - I just added to my growing dbase of PKordon's Greatest Hits. Hope you all are doing well - not much time before the newest addition is here...very exciting!!! Take Care
I was just curious. I love a solo vocalist with a piano or guitar. But some of the songs seem to be songs were backup vocals would enhance. Nice work Paul..
I do all of the recording and mixing myself. I have recorded background vocals before but after I've recorded all of the other parts, sometimes I get worn out and don't get around to the background stuff. When I decide to do a pro-level album with a producer I will, most likely, add all of that good stuff.
I noticed that you have no "backup" vocals in your songs. Is that "by design"? Don't get me wrong your voice is great, but I just noticed that. I think female backup vocals would compliment you and add to "your" sound. But I like it your music. Do you write all the lyrics and music?
