MySpace a place for friends

The year was 2005, and Paul Noyola was the lead singer for the rock band Demagogue. During that time, Gray Reed and Josh Zerangue were playing in Ten Ton Nothing, sharing the stage and performing at the same venues as Demagogue around Texas and Louisiana. Both bands were active for the next few years, before they both dissolved around 2007.

The summer of 2009, Noyola and Reed had teamed up with drummer Roger Newman and bassist Charles Evans, writing and recording several songs, and a few months later were able to secure Reed's former band mate Josh to a second guitar slot. The group took on the band name 'Noyola' and began public performances in late summer 2009, while writing and recording for an upcoming album.
