L'Histoire et la découverte d'un artiste, simple, généreux et passionnée de musique. Paul nous prouvent cette richesse de communication, de sensibilité à travers sa voix ... Né sous le signe du scorpion un 14 novembre 1962 à Saint RAPHAEL (VAR),ce Métis de la région Paca, ses origines à la fois d'Asie, des Caraïbes, d'Afrique, et du Portugal, découvre le monde de la musique très tôt. Sa mère jouait du piano, tandis que son grand frère jouait dans un groupe comme guitariste et harmoniciste dans un groupe de blues/rock. Ce chanteur à la voix rauque et sensuelle, n'est pas à sa première étape.1967, Il chante et s'exprime pour la première fois lors d'un mariage en chantant NOIR C'est NOIR (Johnny HALLYDAY), What i say (Ray CHARLES) et TWIST AND SHOUT (LEIBER, STOLER) chanson repris par les BEATLES en 1963. En 1976, Il participe à son premier radio crochet avec le podium RMC à Fréjus. A 16 ans il forme différentes formations pop/rock. Après avoir fait ses preuves en jouant devant les terrasses des cafés et les discothèques de la Côte d'azur. Il à tout juste 18 ans et part,faire son service militaire dans les DOM TOM, plus exactement à Fort de France.Il choisit la Spécialité Musique, Etl choisit le clairon, puis viendra ensuite la trompette afin,de servir les troupes de l'armée de terre du 33ème RIMA basé à FORT DESAIX (MARTINIQUE). Tout se passe pour le mieux, il à même assez de temps libre et l'après midi, il prend régulièrement la navette situer au port de Fort de France et, se rends à l'ANSE MITAN.Un endroit fréquenté par les métropolitains. On y trouve différents HOTELS,RESTAURANTS,PIANO BAR,& AMBIANCE MUSICALE.Le MERIDIEN, le BAKOUA, la MADININA et LA PAYOTTE. Différents musiciens locales régionales s'y produisent chaque soir. Entre Décembre 1981 et Mai 1982, Paul est un habitué de L'ANSE MITAN, et chante régulièrement en interprétant des chansons tel que Ray CHARLES, Elvis PRESLEY, Little RICHARD Otis REDDING ou bien les BEATLES. IL fait la connaissance et se fait accompagné en autre par le bassiste du groupe MALAVOI à l'hôtel MERIDIEN,et également,le talentueux musicien antillais Yvon ROSILLETTE ou le guitariste,Roland MANERE au BAR ambiance la PAYOTTE. Juin 1982, il à la chance de se fait remarqué par un responsable d'FR3 Martinique qui le propose de faire la tournée d'été, des plus belles plages de l'ile au fleurs , dont SAINTE LUCE et, TARTANE pour rejoindre,l'émission phare de l'époque RADIO BLEUE animé par Ulysse et Véronique qui sera rediffusé en métropole sur RFO. Dès lors Il se produira au CMAC (Centre Martiniquais d'action culturel) en septembre 1982). Sa carrière aurait pu commencer! Mais Paul étant militaire,ne pouvait pas quitter le régiment et se permettre de faire une carrière artistique. NOVEMBRE 1982, de retour à la métropole,déçu de l'opportunité en OR, qu'on lui proposa, lors de sont séjour au caraïbes, iL apparait toutefois et, participe dans différentes télévisions locales, régionales et se produit à l'étranger l' Italie, l'Angleterre, L' Espagne, la Belgique,le Luxembourg et la Tunisie. 1984 c'est l'époque des radios libres, il passe à l'antenne de FUN radio, Europe 2, Radio STAR, Radio NOSTLAGIE locale. En 1988 il participe au Printemps de Bourges en scène ouverte. 1989 sera son année décisive, il monte à Paris, et ce lance dans le grand bain. Inconnu à son arrivé à Paris, Il commence tout d'abord à jouer dans les métros parisiens et se fait connaitre de droite à gauche.1990 / 1991. De fil en aiguille, il rencontre Albert REISNER souvenez vous! AGE TENDRE & TETE DE BOIS et le présente, entouré de Corinne HERMES, KASSAV, les VAGABONDS, Karen CHERYL, Rika ZARAI, Georges MOUSTAKI, Les FORBANS et bien d'autres artistes sur le podium central de la porte de Versailles à l'occasion de la FOIRE de PARIS en collaboration avec radio NOSTALGIE présenter et animé par Max LAFONTAINE. Peu après les cafés concerts, les discothèques et les scènes parisiennes s'enchainent (La Locomotive, Le Chorus café, le Canotier, le Privilège, le neuf, la Galerie, l 'Orange Bleue, Scorp, le Caf Con'c, La Scala, le théâtre des dix heures, la Guiness tavern, l'entrepôt, le Baiser salé, le Caveau des artistes,Café Montmartre, la scène bastille, le River boat, l'étage et l'espace 93 et faire la 1ère partie du chanteur Tonton DAVID. Il rencontre également Guy MARDEL, François FELDMAN, Julie PIETRI, Axel BAUER, Jean Louis AUBERT, Francis HUSTER, Jean Luc LAHAYE, SMAIN, Richard KING, les GIBSON'S BROTHERS, André VERCHUREN, Michel MERCIER, Francis HUSTER,Fabienne THIBAULT. Participe à différentes émissions de Télévision France 4 ,W9 en compagnie de Jean Louis AUBERT, les HUSH PUPPIES, Julie DEPARDIEU, FAUDEL, TITOF, Bob SINCLAR, Antony KAVANAGH.
