My favorite 80+ bands - The Top Shelf.
I post songs that I either wrote and performed or just played drums on - all recorded in my basement, Latona Studios.
"Shotgun", "The Weekend are Over" and "No Fun" are from my blissful days with Anne Summers. They were written by Andrew Pontano and Alec Boyajy.
The Box Car Tramps and I banged out "Truck Drivin' Man" and "Wine Me Up" in Latona Studios a few years back. I played in the band for almost two years. Several members of that band now play around Seattle in The Rolling Blackouts, headed up by Tom Bennett - seen in the photo for Wine Me Up. Others also play in Suicide Jack with my friend CT.
"Gun Store" was written by Dave Kite. He and I recorded an album of his songs titled The Next Five Minutes. Rob Mitchell played keys and Pat Hewitt played lead guitar.
"I Don't Care" was written by Aaron Solomon and is from a 7 song demo from a short-lived but excellent band called Woo. Aaron sang and played guitar, Peter AWOL played lead guitar, Rob Allison played bass and I played drums.
"Heart of Mine" was written by Billy of Billy Dwayne and the Creepers and is from a 3 song demo we banged out while I was in the band.
"I Could Take You" and "Memory Lane" were written by Cory Hivick and Bill Hollinger. We had a great little band called VOL and these were two of 7 songs on our 2 demos. Cory is probably still around Seattle. Sadly, Bill passed away. We rocked the Offramp and many other clubs around Seattle for 6 months during the heyday of Seattle grunge.
