Paulus POTTERS composer, jazzpianist, singer-songwriter, born the 19th of August 1959 in Holland started at the age of 7 years with recorder and switched as a teenager on grammar school to piano.
After for a while studying musicology at the University of Utrecht and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg, he graduated at the Rotterdam conservatory in piano and arranging in 1986.
In 1991 he wan several awards for his compositions at the "BILLBOARD SONG CONTEST" in Oklahoma U.S.A. The members of the jury were Julio Iglesias, Jose Feliciano and Frank Zappa.
Next to his trio he also occasionally performs with his popjazz/fusion group the Paulus Potters Band.
As a composer Paulus is very diverse and writes not only jazz but also pop and classical compositions. His choir piece "St. Augustinus suite" was performed in Russia by a prestigious Dutch chamber choir. It was also used for the dutch historical movie "Recht van wind". Paulus cooperated with an international choregrapher and wrote the ballet music "Lost in the city".
His music was also taken for a TV series documentary and that series went all over the world.
Paulus is sharing his time between Holland and France where he participates also in jazzfestivals like "Jazz à Domergue" in Cannes.

Paulus POTTERS compositeur pianiste de jazz interprète est né en Août 1959 il a débuté à l'age de 7 ans avec la flute à bec et va ensuite se diriger vers le piano lorsqu'il sera étudiant au Gymnasium. Après avoir étudié pour un temps musicologie à l'Universtité de Utrecht et à l'académie des Beaux Arts de Tilburg il va sortir diplômé du Conservatoire de Rotterdam en piano et arrangement en 1996.
En 1991 Paulus va remporter au Billboard Song Contest Olkahoma (USA) plusieurs Awards pour ses compositions. Les membres du Jury étaient : Julio Iglésias, José Féliciano et Frank Zappa.
Outre, son trio Paulus va aussi se produire occasionnellement avec son groupe POP JAZZ/FUSION "The Paulus Potters's Band".
Comme compositeur Paulus Potters est très divers et compose non seulement du jazz mais aussi du POP et du Classique.
Sa composition pour chorale "Sint Augustinus" a été interprété en Russie par une prestigieuse chorale de l'orchestre de chambre. Elle va aussi être utilisée pour le film historique "Recht van Wind".
Paulus a coopéré avec un choregraphe international et va composer la musique de ballet "Lost in the city".
Sa musique sera aussi prise pour une série T.V. documentaire qui va être diffusée à travers le monde entier.
Paulus partage son temps entre la Hollande et la France où il participe à des festivals de jazz comme le prestigueux "Jazz à Domergue" de Cannes.
