It features improvisations, blues, standards such as Some One To Watch Over me/The Wind, his own haunting composition Manhattan and Lucky (From OK computer) by Radiohead. SILENT SONGS recorded with Garry Jackson and guitarist Jamie Taylor. The track Wistful Waltz(William Kinghorn) is taken from the album. This was composed by my old teacher Bill Kinghorn, it's the only original Jazz piece he has ever written!!!! What A Tune. I am a professional musician, composer, teacher and very active within the field of education, across all standards. I lecture part time at Leeds Music College teaching piano and composition. As a professional musician within the jazz genre, I was runner up in the Perrier jazz musician of the year awards back in 1999.
I have written music extensively within both jazz and classical fields. A Trilogy of piano books, Practical Pianoforte 1, 2 & 3 are published, as well as a book of graded piano pieces. (Grades 1-3) An anthology containing every piano piece I have written has now been released. In the classic field I have composed numerous solo, ensemble, choral works, and music for the BBC young artist forum. I have recorded 7 albums.
