Hardcore. The extreme. The limit. The wall after which does not have expression that denotes higher intensity. The end point. Paura: the fear taken to the last consequences. The terror that we have of ourselves. Our end point.
Our end point starts in 1995. Hardcore reviews some concepts of the old school. It loses the shame to admit that the adolescent acnes from the 80´s Thrash Metal had left marks in the skin. The four original members played in institutions of the brazilian HC of that time: No-Violence, Kangaroos in Tilt and Garage Fuzz. They had been joined in the new project to spill what the profile of their origin bands did not allow.
In the end of 1996 , they released the first cd (Family Trust Recs.) with only seven songs. The seven first ones. As almost all the members kept in their other bands, they played just a few gigs. To attend a presentation of Paura becomes something expected by the ones who likes hardcore.
Next they felt the need of one second guitar and this started to be the definitive drawing.
In 1998, they release Reflex of Difference (Conspiracy Chain Recs.). The second cd brings six unreleased songs and three live recordings from the Goiânia Noise Festival (1997).
In 2002, The Myth is Dead (One Voice Recs.) announces activity. Three new songs and two covered versions. Paving the survival.
In 2005,Paura releases YOUKILLUSWEOVERCOME (One Voice Recs.), a 12 songs cd that broke a gap of 3 years without recording. The band spend two years on the road promoting the cd.
2006. The year that encloses the first decade brought the greatest victories. The year that defines a new stage. The old school with new blood. Releasing the compilation with the first 3 sold out works through One Voice Records, they crowned this 10 years course.
Recorded and released in 2007, Reverse The Flow unites Paura and Liberation. That´s the bond of two old school forces in a scene where the 'till death' state goes on for one summer.
Paura is still on the road promoting Reverse The Flow on tour through Chile, Equador, Europe, besides a lot of cities in Brasil, and as always, composing new material for a future album, to be released in 2009.
Far beyond our endpoint. |
