Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.
Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.

Hey. Just a thank you for adding or accepting us recently. We love having new fans and really appreciate your support. Nice to get new fans and stuff. We have quite a few gigs soon so it would be great to see some new faces down there. We also have the new album "1348 Miles To Vatican City" being released soon and will have some tracks up for you to check out. So drop us a comment or something if you're interested in any gigs or whatever. We WILL reply... We're not one of those up-their-own-arse bands who ignore their fans and expect the world back. So cheers for the add. And hope to see you soon. Riley Neo Choline x

Hi people of . I run Sharp Street Studio in Hull. I am trying to introduce the studio and its services to as many bands as possible regarding our latest recording offer. A copy of the flyer is below. The favour in the form of a question is, would you allow me to place a copy of this flyer on your Myspace page.
Quickpost this image to Myspace, Digg, Facebook, and others! For the last 3 or 4 months, I have been contacting as many independant record labels as possible, introducing ourselves and asking them this question - IF we periodically sent them a compilation CD featuring bands that have recorded at the studio, WOULD they listen to it? I have had enough labels saying they would listen and comment back to me, just for my bare faced cheek. It was a cheeky letter, but it worked. Yeah, its good for the studio, which was where the idea came from initially. But it could also be of benefit to the bands that appear on the recordings. Either way, could you message me back with your answer. Thanks or your time, and good luck with everything. Nigh Swan Mark
