About pavinda

I was born into a musical family. From the age of seven I was given time during my fathers performances to sing at Indian festivals. It was clear I had a passion for music and that my talents went beyond just performing. My early attempts at writing lyrics came in the form of poetry and with guidance from a close friend this evolved into my own style of song writing. In 2001 myself and two male vocalists formed a band called Nebulae. Our first gig was supporting Goldie. A pivotal point for Nebulae came in 2002 when we won the Diesel-U-Music award for Best Dance Act. With Nebulae I got to do many great gigs e.g. Snowbombing 2004 (France), Music conference (Miami), Fabric (London), The Medicine Bar (Birmingham) and many more. Our reputation was strong and attracted attention from DJ Dave Angel who helped us record our first demo material. We were then invited to perform at Fabric nightclub in London which Channel 4 later televised. We performed with Fuzz Townsend who had seen us perform at the The Medicine bar and was keen to work with us. He wasnt new to the industry and had performed with bands such as Pop will eat itself and Bently rhythm ace as I am sure many of you already know. My whole experience of being part of a band was great but I felt it was time to pursue my solo career. With some connections to producers in the music industry I was free to work with a variety of artists. I started working with an RnB production from London called Illuminaties. I entered the UK Song writing contest 2004 and my track came in the top 20 in the RnB category. Another collaboration was with Atomic Hooligan on their award winning album You are here (Best Album-Breakspoll-2006). I wrote and sang 2 tracks on the album Head & 1200miles. Head was released in Jan 05 as a 12 and was Botchit & Scarpers best selling single to date. Head was also Botchit & Scarpers 50th anniversary release. So 2005 was all about Atomic!! I toured with the live band and we played Fabric, Glastonbury, Glade, JAPAN and many more places and it was FANTASTIC!!!! Currently running new night in Swindon BOSH..
