Music for me revolves almost entirely around the words and the world within each piece. My one and only true love is actually performance. I live to bring life to song and song to life.
I was born into a musical family that played a lot of Folk music. I was raised primarily in Fairfax, California (a very music-oriented town in Marin County, north of San Francisco).
While still in high school, I developed an interest in composing and went on to study music and composition at San Francisco State and the University of California in Riverside and graduated with a degree in music from Colorado University - Boulder in 1982.
After receiving my undergrad degree, I studied voice and acting and began writing my Song Book in 1985. I now have compiled close to 1000 songs.
I consider myself to be a Folk singer /song writer.
