Influences
We are influenced by the very lifeblood of this existence on earth. Our Maker and Father is the One to thank for the abilties to play and sing and write music and all that we do as a band.
We are influenced by the dreams we have all shared since we were too short to ride a rollercoaster. It is a common bond that we share, and what will keep us together in the future.
Through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we pray that we may reach your heart, and if your hearts walls are high, then hopefully you'll at least like what you hear and see.
Praise to Him, not us...
Sounds Like
We are mainly a hard rock band, but can not become confined within those terms. Some might say screamo, some indie emo, some post-core, some alternative, and others will admit they don't know. We like that. We fuse various cultural and internally intriguing elements into our sound. If we don't love what we play, we don't play it in other words. Nuff said. Watch out for us in the future, as we are ever growing!
CJ says we sound like the brainchild of thinktank Originality meets the optimism of a 5 year old dreaming of fighting fires. Word.
Payback...something different. Something that doesn't sound like everything else you've heard. An ever changing, never straying band designed to glorify the Creator. He has given us each talents, and we will not let them go to waste...
After years of growing into their sound, in later 2006, Payback finally reached full member status, after trying out numerous lead guitarist. With the addition of a lead guitarist, we are now a four peice christian rock band. The first sond we all wrote together was called A New Chapter, kind of a ode to this new life we were leading. Dreams were turning to reality for us, because the sound in it's own was more complete, and the style was more open and expressive for the future of our sound.
We don't fit into your specifications as metal or screamo, or punk, or pop, or any of that because we don't strive to sound like everyone else to slip into the scene. We do what we do because we love to do it, and theres nothing more to it. For all Jesus has done for us, we give our lives for him, and this music for you.

well usually when you use the neck pickup for the heavy chords it get distorted and mushy sounding and im not a fan of it. im thinking about trying the x2n or a super 3. i mainly want sumthin with alot of low end and if i need more high end ill jus hit tha coil splitter switch. oh by the way i was planin on puttin this in my kramer not the fender.
lol. well the kramer has a seymour duncan invader someone else put in before i owned it. im prolly gonna switch it out for a d-sonic. i think dimarzio makes them. it has no tone control on the bridge pickup so it can get kinda bright sounding sumtimes. i was gonna put sum hot rails in the middle and neck. the strat has the original 69's that came with it and it also has a no load tone control and when its on the 10 position it bypasses the tone circutry im prolly gonna run a peavey 6505+ but since im 15 ill have to save even with a job.lol im prolly gonna buy an esp ltd mh-1000 and my setup will be complete unless i decide to run a pedal board witch im not to fond of.
hi! glad you asked about the guitars. the butterscotch strat is a 2006 american 60th anniversary and the white one is actually a 1986 kramer pacer custom shop. i could go into details about the guitars but i wouldnt want to bore you with the technical stuff but there both very nice playing guitars.
Uuuuu, no toucha my rims! Ha-ha. We've been trying to think of a good color. I really wanted candy apple red but red is expensive and you have to be careful you don't mess up. So then I'm thinking black because its all lowered with the Pro Tour look. The interior is camel so it has to look good with camel. A friend of our's works in a body shop for Ford and they have a new white called White Chocolate and brought me a sample. Mmmmm...I don't like dark chocolate but I love white chocolate and that color made my mouth water!! We'll see. Not ready to paint yet. Thanks for the nice compliment but you still can't have my rims!!
