I transcend stereotypes/Im beyond description/Im hip-hop
and hard rock/I define non-fiction ----> Paycheck Game aka Fat Bastard
In his most controversial move ever, “The Original” Paycheck Game has aligned with Kasket Entertainment to bring you “The Graveyard Shift”. This new album features the hit single “Around These Parts” and the street anthem “Mr. Franklin”. Paycheck has also stirred the pot with his anti-racism song titled “Kiss My Black Ass”, a definite tongue-in-cheek stab at stereotypes.
This album was recorded Summer 2009 at the Snake Pit Studios in Reno, NV in less than a week. L-No from Day One Global Media contributed to the album as well as Johnny Tang, respectively. The majority of the production was handled by Paycheck’s infamous alter ego, Greedy Beatz.
All the critics agree: Paycheck Game has found the formula and “The Graveyard Shift” takes it all the way back to his first solo album, “Grim Reaper Theme Music” in terms of the hardcore beats and real life struggles. It never went away, and that’s what you’ve come to respect and ultimately expect to hear – Quality Music with Real Meaning.
The Graveyard Shift does not disappoint, with tracks like “Industry Takeover” where Paycheck bum rushes the record exec offices to try and strongarm a record deal a la’ “Falling Down”. Even a well known TV News Host was not strong enough to try and stop the wrath of Fat Bastard on another interlude.
As a whole, the album reveals it’s sinister plot early with “Drugs Violence Sex & Entertainment” and Mr. Fuckabunchofallyall. “The Graveyard Shift” ends the same way it started: Solid. This album has something for everyone that likes hip hop…you will thank me later for telling you about “The Original” Paycheck Game. “This album was supposed to my “dark” hardcore album with Kasket, Paycheck said. What came out wasn’t a Paycheck horrorcore album but one in which every song has its space to effect you differently, very moody.. “ I like to smoke to “Mr. Franklin”, work out to “Kiss My Black Ass”, and get buck wild when “Move” come on.” Indeed. Ladies and Franks, thank you for checking out our music, and welcome to the digital age of badass.
