Paz Lenchantin ' songs for luci ' was recorded during late fall in 2003 in a rented room in Louisville, Kentucky. After leaving California and taking the high country roads in her recently passed brothers truck, she took up a short residence on bonnycastle ave, borrowed a mic and drum kit from david pajo and with the 17 year cicada, some Smithsonian, willie nelson and hoagy carmichael LP's as her only recording companions she started the meditative and diaristic process of laying down and layering the violin, banjo, and drum tracks that would eventually become songs for luci.
Following a phone call from guy Blakeslee to come record in new york on his wandering stranger record she would soon join Blakeslee back in Los Angeles to start the Entrance Band and eventually dig up these tapes a few years later. Hearing them in a new and different light she decided to self released this as a hand made CD R in 2006.
