Utterly, utterly boring stuff like sewing weird little creatures and cross-stitching. Oh, and writing vicious, bloody horror stories and the occasional romance novel.
Music
Beatles, top 40 stuff, classic rock, '80s music, any soundtrack by Tyler Bates...pretty much a little bit of everything. But bluegrass. Dear heavens, how I hate bluegrass.
Movies
Recent favorites ("favorites" defined as movies I can watch over and over again): 300, any George Romero zombie movie, Dawn of the Dead remake, Slither, Serenity, Carpenter's The Thing, Shaun of the Dead...pretty much anything with zombies, slime, and/or angry Spartans (except "Meet the Spartans"--gag)
Evil League of Evil Application: The Steward, A.T.H.U.G. Union from TheSteward on Vimeo.
Television
The Office, 24, Lost, Jericho, Family Guy, Simpsons, Heroes, all of the CSI franchises (can't wait for "CSI: Boise"), Bones, South Park, 30 Rock, Futurama, Firefly, Newsradio, Buffy...and it suddenly occurs to me that I need to get a life and stop watching so much TV.
..
Books
Anything by Jack Ketchum and Richard Laymon. Dean Koontz. Stephen King (primarily his early stuff, but I liked "Cell"). Robert McCammon ("Swan Song" is one of the best books ever. Seriously.) Steve Niles. Marvel "Ultimates" comics (especially "Ultimate Fantastic Four" and "Ultimate Spiderman"--they kick SUCH ass). Anything on UFOs and aliens, parapsychology, ghosts, urban legends, Bigfoot and other monsters. Some romances (depending on my mood). True crime. Basically anything that's not considered "literature" and/or "high-brow." Had enough of that happy crap back in my English major days.
About me: Librarian by day, horror writer by night. You can find my stories in my new horror collection from Lulu, "ABOMINATIONS," as well as "HISTORY IS DEAD," "BRAINCHILD," "LOVE, DAMNED LOVE," "COLD FLESH," "THE BOOK OF MORE FLESH," and "MOON OVER MADNESS," and they all seem to have a decidedly 'undead' theme to them. What can I say? I likes my zombies.
NEW FOR 2008:
An actual blog: http://horror-hack.blogspot.com
An actual publisher-published romance novel: The Giving Season (Pearlsong Press, 2009).
Other writing stuff I've done includes co-writing the script for the Dollar Baby version of Stephen King's "The Road Virus Heads North." And a bunch of unpublished stories and novels.
"Armed with a devilish wit, quirky dialogue, and a unique, palpable flavor, DROP DEAD GORGEOUS provides readers with a fly-on-the-wall view as the shit gloriously hits the fan in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Where's Bono when you need him?" --Andre Duza, author of DEAD BITCH ARMY
"Intriguing novel from a new emerging talent in the horror genre..." --Dan Henk (Lone Wolf Tattoo)
An airline captain was helping a new blonde flight attendant prepare for her first overnight trip. Upon their arrival, the captain showed the flight attendant the best place for airline personnel to eat, shop, and stay overnight. The next morning as the pilot was preparing the crew for the day's route, he noticed the new stewardess was missing. He knew which room she was in at the hotel and called her up to ask what happened to her. She answered the phone, crying, and said, "I can't get out of the room!" "You can't get out of your room?"; the captain asked. "Why not?" She replied, "There are only three doors in here," she sobbed, "one is the bathroom, one is the closet, and one has a sign on it that says 'Do Not Disturb'!"

Hey thanx for the add. Email me sometime to catch up.I was telling my wife about some of your stories I read and now she's so excited that I know another published writer. (She's more annoyed actually, I do tend to rub it in.) Anyways. Grats on Abominations now when can we get more?
