In no particular order, I am interested in anything awe inspiring, feelings of glee, music and art, getting away with stuff, interesting people, guys in kilts, twisted humor, playing bass, singing backup and occasional lead, making art, selling art, autonomy, biking trails, reading, warm or hot weather, waves, most cats, some dogs, eating wonderful food, wild abandon, satisfying curiosity, epiphanies, and both the meaningful and meaningless.
I'm not interested in cold weather, cowards, bureaucracy, morning breath, stepping in poo, telemarketers, mouth breathers, histrionics, 'scenes', misogyny, restrictions, fundamentalists, stickers on fruit, stepping in something wet while wearing socks, hypocrites, stupidity and thieves of all demographics.
Music
As a bassist, I enjoy ego-free situations where there's a lot of room for everyone to have fun musically and otherwise.

I make my living doing things that feel like play. I am typically either painting something or playing the bass with fun and talented people.
On the musical end of the spectrum, I currently perform with 816; an extreme variety rock band, venus envy; a broadband, MSG; unplugged and Dale Maxfield and the Silver Hammers; original contemporary rock. Other bands I play / have played with are Velvet Freeze, Phantasmagoria, Firebox and The Wyandotte County Lowriders. I have also recorded with most of the aforementioned bands plus Doug Luther.
On the artistic end of the spectrum, I own and operate Decorative and Traditional Painting, which involves my finding new and interesting ways of applying color and/or texture to walls and woodwork in addition to exploring paint on more traditional surfaces, such as canvas and paper. I create both commissioned and original artwork, which can be viewed at Decorative and Traditional Painting.com.
