Sounds Like
If Notorious B.I.G. met Steely Dan at a party and they started fighting but Taj Mahal came in and broke it up and to keep the peace they formed a drum circle and started jammin' around a campfire.
PBR&CAVIAR is a genre-bending, breakbeat-busting duo out of Northern California formed in 2008 when El Drubio and Geoff McCann realized that if they combined their musical forces the result would the best of both worlds... just like pounding a frosty pabst while crunching on some of the finest caspian.
Employing a variety of synthesizers, samplers and live instruments, Geoff and Drew fashion beats and songs that bring hip-hop into new territories of emotional and musical exploration. And they do it so deep that you have to come back.
They're crafting a live show right now, the likes of which have never been seen before and PBR&CAVIAR will start playing all over the Western Seaboard in a month once Geoff returns from the primordial swamps of Arkansas where he is fishing for arpeggios off a rusty pontoon.
