How this group came to be ....
I was recently involved in another meetup group that pertained to paranormal investigations,but I unintentionally offended some of them by associating the group as being of Christian faith.The matter was resolved quickly and there are no hard feeling between us, I still consider most of them to be good friends and close contacts, however , it also made me aware of the need for a group such as this one, to provide another avenue of contact for the person of Christian faith who might be having a paranormal experience in their home and are not comfortable with a group of investigators who have other beliefs or conduct other practices of religion...
Enter the Plant City (C.P.R.) .
This group is based in Plant City,Florida , but by no means limited to this area, If someone has a issue and I can make it happen , I have no problem traveling to help that person,and I hope any potential or future members can relate to that !
I am not sure as of this writing how long or where this group will go, it is up to you the members and your willingness to maintain the group structure and follow the protocols that will be brought forth when they are established.
I guess you can call this page an experiment at this time, with hopes that it will thrive and succeed in its agenda to have a Faith based research group.
Now a little about me;
My name is Landon Cochran, but everyone calls me L.T. , I have been in the field of Corrections and Law Enforcement for over 20 years, and have studied the Paranormal for longer than that, it has always fascinated me but I never put the effort forward to even think I would or could start a group like this, but I feel it is time that there is one like this one.
The leader of the last group I was involved in was my inspiration, he has been able to turn his group into a positive, professional team of investigators in a matter of a few months, and I will still be there to assist him in anyway I can, but maybe it was "My Calling" that things turned out the way they did, for that was the motivation I needed to start this one !
Let me clarify first , that I am not some evangelistic,bible thumping, street corner standing preacher wanna be that shoves God down peoples throats. But I do consider myself Christian in the fact that I have a strong faith in God and I have accepted the Lord Jesus as my Saviour, even though I may not act like it all the time .
I believe that any future team members should be required to agree to a Code of Ethics, and adhere to a set of Standards and protocol while representing the group, which I assume that any Serious person interested in participating in this type of field should have no problem doing to begin with, it just helps to ensure the strength and moral character of the group as a whole !
I am looking for 2 types of members to complete the investigation teams.
The first team will be a team of skeptics (fact finders), someone who believe or do not believe in the supernatural, but have a detective attitude that can go into a home and search out natural causes for the phenomena that people believe are signs of a haunting.
The second team will be members who feel they have abilities to see beyond the normal mind set, those who believe they are "sensitives" such as Psychics,Clairvoyants, or Mediums in some respect, I have to advise these members now, I don't put alot of credit in these abilities until I see for myself and prove to me that they are genuine, there are to many out there that pretend to have the gift and don't, nothing personal toward anyone who may be .
Sorry it took so long to get back to you but the "Secrets Kept" movie project got fast tracked and I no longer have enough hours in the day. Of the tv shows the one furthest along is the spanish language show "El Mundo Paranormal". We are currently in discussions with two spanish language networks. As soon as we have the distribution details worked out we will be sending out a press release and informing our friends in the Paranormal World. Thanx again, Happy Hunting and God Bless you all!
Good to hear from an investigator who can work with a "Christian" frame of mind. By the way, we just optioned two "Paranormal" movies and are in pre-production on the first, "Secrets Kept". A love story that transends life and death! As well as "Rest in Peace". The story of a woman who becomes a "Paranormal Investigator" in an attempt to find out what happened to her husband.
