Sounds Like
A mix of electro-funk, singer-songwriter, and avant-garde
"(PC Muñoz) is truly a modern musician, equally at home with a live band, playing the most organic of instruments...or hunched over a computer, making beats and working magic with ProTools..." Tom Chandler, East Bay Express
"Muñoz's tasteful electronics, effortlessly balancing hard-hitting syncussion with bouncy basslines and buttery synth washes, are the perfect counterpoint to the thought-provoking words he spits out with an incomparable cool....undeniable talent for crafting songs that stimulate the mind and the body." Amorn Bholsangngam, Urb Magazine
"Compelling beats, clever lyrics, and special guests, such as cellist Joan Jeanrenaud, make (Grab Bag) an enjoyable listen." Electronic Musician
"...dark, sexual, sensual, confessional, and confrontational -- all at the same time... a poet..." Performing Songwriter
"...undeniable stage presence...laid-back, but commanding...the show is a left hook all right---and a knock out at that." Mike Osegueda, Fresno Bee
" Interestingly catchy...featuring sounds you haven't heard in some time, if ever." Strother Bullins, Pro Audio Review
"... Muñoz consistently redefine(s) himself, sailing effortlessly across artistic categories..." Marian Liu, San Jose Mercury News
"As a band leader, songwriter, and producer, I feel PC Muñoz embodies the best skills of his peers in the music business." Dr. Fink, Prince and the Revolution keyboardist
"...unique and worthwhile..." Mark Kramer, West Coast Performer
"Everything from...the exotic Chinese drums he records with and his complicated cultural background screams variety. One thing is for certain. "PC" does not stand for politically correct. Lyrically, Muñoz likes to take on politics, religion and a little kinky sex." Delfin Vigil, San Francisco Chronicle
"Great work. It's all too rare to hear someone breaking new ground in the pop field." John Zorn, Composer
"...beautiful and compelling music..." Michelle M. Wallace, The Owl Mag
"Recommended." National Public Radio
Wall Street Journal
Songs about the soul, the heart, the flesh, the distractions.

Been fortunate to work with lots of great folks. Guest artists (musical and otherwise) on my past projects include rock legend Jackson Browne, Prince and the Revolution synth wizard Dr. Fink, Kulintang virtuoso Danny Kalanduyan, jazz/improv drumming great Scott Amendola, Grammy-nominated composer/arranger Anthony Brown, National Book Award finalist/graphic novelist Gene Luen Yang, electronic music sorceress bLevin bLectum, and many other wonderful players and vocalists.
Profiled by NPR, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Wall Street Journal, Electronic Musician, The San Jose Mercury News, and more. Charted on CMJ.
Busy as a producer at Talking House Productions. This year's production projects include the daredevil follow-up to Strange Toys, the Grammy-nominated solo album by longtime Kronos Quartet cellist Joan Jeanrenaud (out now on the Talking House label), red-hot contributions to a couple of stellar compilation/tribute albums, and some fresh new hip-hop oriented material. Also in the planning stages is a star-studded tribute album to the legendary East LA songwriter, Lalo Guerrero, aka "The Original Chicano".

OH WOW! Okay, so you can't imagine how surprised I was (at 8am!) when Laurie called me this morning to tell me you had contacted her on Facebook! Yes, I have avoided FB for so long because I can hardly keep up with my MySpace and Redbubble pages. So! I have built a FB page kicking and screaming. HOW did you find Laurie???
At the risk of sounding cliche...Thanks for the add?
