Secretary, Everybody's Famous (Flemish flick), The Passion of Joan of Arch--1928 (MUST SEE), Love Actually, Hedwick and the Angry Inch, Max Headroom, Chocolat , The Magdalene Sisters, 50 First Dates (but it needs to be re-edited to take out the stupid parts), Blue Velvet, Lost in Translation...I like true stories and documentaries, science fiction, "cute" movies and good dramas, but I'm not into pointless slasher movies
Television
Not a big fan of TV--Star Trek, Max Headroom, Twilight Zone, PBS...I hate dumb sitcoms, commercials and the tv news...I prefer getting my news from radio, NPR, KPFA etc.
Books
This is Burning Man, anything by Kafka, Chaos, Foundation, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Lord of the Rings, Sci-Fi, articles from Scietific American, Solar Car etc.
Heroes
Jimmy Carter, my mom, Flash-O-Matic, M2, John Law, my dog Max
About me:
I was born in California, but grew up in The Netherlands. The town I lived in was near Maastricht. The area is called Limburg, which is a region of Europe famous for it's carnival. That may be where I got my non-sense of style. I was confused for a long time, but then I found Burning Man and it all started to make much more sense. Why not join a circus at least once? Well I did that for a while too. Now I work for Laughing Squid and am surrounded by fun people--actually, it is a computer job, so all I do is sit in front of a computer all day. For kicks I run a few karaoke nights. Check our beyondkaraoke.us for details on that.
Who I'd like to meet: Fun people who are into dressing in costumes, singing Karaoke, dancing all night, Burning Man, living life to the fullest. I love creative people who actively work at making their life fun. But mean people suck, so be nice and we can be friends.
i am apPAULled they didn't have size gigantic roller skates last night- we could have held hands and skated the night away. bahahaha. so fun nonetheless. thanks for being an impulsive maniac. :D
