About me: Every year in May, Portland, Oregon becomes ground zero for experimental cinema as The Portland Documentary and Experimental (PDX) Film Festival rolls out its annual extravaganza of innovative new work in film and video from around the world. Celebrating its eighth year in 2009, The PDX Fest is the happy baby of Peripheral Produce, Portland's much loved experimental distribution label and screening series. Promising a bevy of boisterous visiting filmmakers, thrilling events, and, of course, five days of cinematic enjoyment, The PDX Fest is an ever-growing party for the silver screen set. And don't forget about the festival's main event, The Peripheral Produce Invitational! Every year a handful of artists are selected to create a brand new piece of work to premiere at the Invitational to our ballot-wielding audience members. Their vote decides who will be the new World Champion of Experimental Cinema!
Who will take the trophy this year?
Stay tuned and find out!

We would love to make music for your film. Did you ever wonder what it sounds like when a wizard gives birth to a magical unicorn while riding wild on the slippery back of a loaded teenage fire dragon in heat? Well come and listen,.........we have a new set of material that is heavy like a chevy with more hooks than a f*cking pirate convention. Hope you can make the show.
