NEVER ALLOW SOMEONE TO BE YOUR PRIORITY, WHILE ALLOWING YOURSELF TO BE THEIR OPTION!
..
I have many things I like to do. I love doing Arts & Crafts (I have even sold some of my things that I have made). I enjoy fishing and camping. And yes, I can rig my own line, bait my own hook, and take my own fish off the hook! I have some fishing stories that are honest to goodness true that sound made up!
I love Monster Truck Shows, Mud Bogs (it's a redneck thing) and rodeos.
I like reading (preferably mysteries or true crime books) and I enjoy the computer, especially learning about the tech part of it. I guess I do spend a lot of time on the computer, but since I live kind of in the country and don't have a car, there's not a whole lot to do! I do like to watch TV, but most of the time the when the TV is on, I'm just listening to it.
GRAVE DIGGER...MY FAVORITE MONSTER TRUCK!
I HAVE RELATIVES IN ARKANSAS AND OKLAHOMA, SO...
CAN'T TALK ABOUT THE SOUTH WITH A GOOD OL' SOUTHERN SONG!!
GARTH BROOKS & KISS!!!
Music
Music makes up a big part of who I am. And I love ALL kinds of music as you can tell by the variety of videos and songs I have on here. First of all, I was raised on Country music, so it's in my blood and there to stay. But I also like Psychedelic, Southern Rock, Classic Rock, the 80's "Hair Band" Rock and Metal...LOTS OF METAL!! I don't care for the kind of Rap music that degrades women. I do listen to Kid Rock, but his style of music has changed lately. One thing I do not, will not, and can't stand to listen to is Disco. I didn't like it when it came out in the 70's and my mind hasn't changed about it after all these yrs. While some of my friends were listening to their Disco stuff, I was listening to Rush, Pink Floyd, KISS, etc...
I don't close my mind to music because I might miss something good. My daughter, grandson, and I went to "Ozzfest" Summer 2006. I sort of got to see Ozzy. They had him on second stage which has no seating. So I had to climb up this hill to see him, and basically just watched him on the big screen. But when we got to our seats for the main stage, we got to see Disturbed, Lacuna Coil, Avenged Sevenfold, Dragonforce, and System of a Down. It was awesome! Thanks to my son Travis listening to these groups first, I got to like some of them, and I knew the words to most of the songs. I saw people way younger than me, and people older than me; but the love of music brought all of us together. It just goes to show that music IS the Universal language!
AC/DC SUMS UP HOW I FEEL..."LET THERE BE ROCK!!"
URIAH HEEP~THE WIZARD~MY MOST FAVORITE SONG EVER!
TESLA DID JUSTICE TO THIS SONG~"THANK YOU"~LED ZEPPELIN SONG.
Movies
THE BUILDING OF WOODSTOCK
BY THE TIME WE GOT TO WOODSTOCK WE WERE HALF A MILLION STRONG!!!!
THE CROWD!!!!
IN HONOR OF YASGUR'S FARM, PLACE WHERE WOODSTOCK WAS HELD
Serpico is my most favorite movie. I am not into "chick flicks"; I prefer action movies. The French Connection, Goodfellas, Dog Day Afternoon, just stuff like that. And the Monty Python movies! I like the old horror and Sci Fi movies because the acting and special effects were terrible...but they're fun to watch. I don't like the really gory "slasher" films. The plot is always the same. I do like some of the movies from the 80's. But just give me a good action movie or old movie and I'm happy.
Television
I like the British comedies MUCH better than the ones we have; like Monty Python, Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Black Adder, etc...but since I don't have satellite TV anymore, I don't get to watch them (wipes a tear away). I like "House", all the "CSI" shows, "Law & Order", things like that. I also like the Discovery and History channels.
....
MY FAVORITE MONTY PYTHON SKIT!!!
Books
My favorite author is Tony Hillerman (R.I.P.). All of his books have to do with Navajo culture and beliefs. Before his death he lived here in New Mexico. Also, his books were set in the Four Corners area of New Mexico. Then I like Hermann Hesse. His books are pretty deep reading, but I like them. His most famous book is "Siddhartha". Then I like Kahil Gibran (The Prophet) and Dorothy Gilman who wrote a series of books about an elderly lady (Mrs. Pollifax) who becomes a spy for the C.I.A. And lastly, I like the author P.G. Wodehouse who wrote a series of books about a rich British character named Bertie Wooster who manages to get into trouble, and his butler (Jeeves) always bails him out. They are quite funny.
MY SON JARROD~JUNE 20, 1985- MARCH 8, 2007
I KNOW YOU ARE IN A BETTER PLACE NOW AND I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOU ANYMORE. I MISS YOU SO MUCH IT HURTS! I LOVE YOU SON.
DEATH LEAVES A HEARTACHE PEOPLE CAN FEEL. BUT LOVE LEAVES A MEMORY NO ONE CAN STEAL.
DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP;
I AM NOT THERE, I DO NOT SLEEP.
I AM A THOUSAND WINDS THAT BLOW;
I AM THE DIAMOND GLINTS ON SNOW.
I AM THE SUNLIGHT ON RIPENED GRAIN;
I AM THE GENTLE AUTUMN'S RAIN.
WHEN YOU AWAKEN IN THE MORNING'S HUSH,
I AM THE SWIFT UPLIFTING RUSH
OF QUITE BIRDS IN CIRCLED FLIGHT.
I AM THE SOFT STAR THAT SHINES AT NIGHT.
DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND CRY,
I AM NOT THERE; I DID NOT DIE.
YES, I REALLY DO LISTEN TO SOME RAP!!!! TY TO MY SON TRAVIS FOR HELPING ME TO KEEP AN OPEN MIND!! AND JARROD WOULD BE PROUD OF ME SINCE HIS FAV MUSIC WAS RAP!!
About me:
I am a 49 yr. (young) divorced mother of 3. 1 girl and 2 boys. At the writing of this, I had all 3 of my children, but my 21 yr. old son, Jarrod, was murdered on March 8th, 2007. I miss him and the grief is sometimes unbearable. My daughter is 30 (gosh that makes me feel old)and my other son just turned 21. Finally, the person who murdered my son confessed, but he only got 3 yrs. in a Juvenile Facility to begin with, but since then he attacked a guard and another inmate so they sent him to the REAL prison because he is now an adult. I am glad to know who did it, but it won't bring my son back. Maybe someday I will have some closure, but it's just to soon to forgive.
..
I have 2 grandkids (boy and girl) who are my pride and joy! My kids and grandkids are the most important people to me in the whole world. They all have a great sense of humor and each have their own distinct personalities and are just neat people. I learned (finally) to let my kids dress, pierce something, get tattoos, and listen to their own music. I mean, I wore bell bottoms with stuff embroidered on them and listened to music my Mom really didn't like. So this is the phase they are going through just like we did. I don't stare at anyone who has blue hair or piercings, or whatever; I just smile at them because you can't judge someone by the way they look. At age 48...I got my first tattoo! So I SURE can't say anything about anyone with tattoo's! My daughter got us each one. (It was a Mother/Daughter bonding thing)LOL! If someone would've told me a few years ago that I would be sitting in a tattoo chair, I would've laughed at them. I am going through my "first" childhood since I never had one when I was little.
My biggest "pet peeves"; people who make fun of other people because they are heavy or have a mental illness or are different in some way. Just because a person is heavy doesn't mean they hit the "All you can eat" buffet every day. It could be because of medication, or a medical problem. And we could be in a car accident or something and end up with a brain injury and look like the ones people make fun of. So I think you should not avoid these people, but give them a smile. It may be the only one they've had that day...or longer.
I would like to meet someone someday. After 15 yrs. of being by myself, I think I'm ready. The only thing I ask is that he is honest above all things. And I like a sense of humor, because I enjoy joking around.
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO HAVE A HAPPY CHILDHOOD!!
I live in Roswell, NM (yes, the home of the supposed alien crash site)I have never seen an alien except when we have the UFO festival!! It's a big event with music, food booths, and LOTS of UFO fanatics. But hey, it brings money into the city, so I guess it's a good thing!
AIN'T NUTHIN' LIKE THE SOUND OF A HARLEY!
I worked for a Pathology lab as a courier (I picked up surgical specimens from the hospital and the doctors offices). Sounds sort of morbid, huh? But it was actually very interesting. The Pathologists I worked for were like family. And they didn't seem like doctors. They were hilarious and were always joking around. You could never be really serious with them; they wouldn't let you. I really liked working there and I miss it.
My Great-Great Grandmother was Cherokee, and she died on "The Trail Of Tears". I am very proud of my Indian heritage, and I taught my kids to be.

I do miss having my son's and all their friends around the house. It was so much fun watching them and listening to them. Now the house is too quiet.
Don't be fooled by my page...even though it is psychedelic and has a lot of "hippie" stuff on it doesn't mean I embraced everything about that culture. I love the Lord with all my heart.
This is for you my dear daughter...I would like to meet Ted Nugent. He gets so much flack over hunting; but what people don't realize is that he and his family eat everything they kill. He doesn't just shoot it and leave it laying there. And if people didn't hunt, the animals would overpopulate and starve to death. So which is worse?
PETER STEELE OF TYPE O NEGATIVE...OH YEAH!!
VILLE VALO OF H.I.M.
