I am a personal event planner as well as having worked with the Juneteenth Youth and Sankofa Committies as a talent coordinator & organizer. I am currently serving on the board of directors for Morning Star Promotions.
About me: I'm a poet who lives in Buffalo N.Y. I spread love and joy through my happiness and zest for life. Jumping into the poetry scene during the summer of 2006 I have fallen in love with the art of the "Spoken Word". I have read at various local open mics and events such as: The Em Tea Coffee Cup, Urban Epiphany, The Screening Room, Tru Teas, Hardware Cafe, The Mamapaloza festival as a part of the cast for the staged reading of: "Why Colored Girls Consider Suicide When The Rainbow Isn't Enough", and also performed poetry in Buffalo's Infrigment Festival.
My love for children has spilled over into my personna of "Ki-Ki the Clown". Ki-Ki can be seen at various local events such as Buffalo's annual Juneteenth celebration, and The Jefferson street festival. Ki-Ki is one of the newest members of the Indigo Clowns: Clowns of Color Organization.
In January of 2008 I became a board member with Morningstar Promotions. Morningstar is a promotion group that is decidated to bringing edu-tainment to the community in which we live. In June of 2008 look for my on-line radio show Connections @ www.thinktwiceradio.com. A show that explores the way people connection with self and relate to the world around them.
As a student of Buddhism I hope that whether it's through my poetry or just "clowing around", I would like to leave a positive impression on people wishing to make the world a much nicer place through the talents and opportunities God has blessed me with. Who I'd like to meet: I guess as far as entertainers I would love to meet: Ruby Dee, Spike Lee, and Maya Angelou. Those three are on top of my list. I'm really just inspired by the everyday people I come into contact with. Buffalo has a lot - I mean a lot of talent and I have had the pleasure of meeting many.
