The Peace of Heart Choir is a singing collective of community members formed in response to the World Trade Center tragedy to promote healing, diversity, community bonding, and mutual understanding through music. As part of this mission, we perform free of charge for non-profit organizations, area shelters, service providers, hospitals, and events consistent with our goals. Our performance concept engages audience participation. Music includes pop, R&B, dance, folk, world, and original compositions; we sing in Arabic, English, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Spanish, and other languages. Our music reflects the ethnic, racial and cultural backgrounds and traditions of our diverse membership and audiences. People of all races, ages, ethnicities, genders, gender expressions, sexual orientations, income levels, religions, beliefs, political affiliations, national origins, immigration statuses, and abilities/disabilities are welcome.
Please keep an eye on our website (currently being updated) for more information on our history and mission.
