We're so sad to inform you that our dear friend, drummer and bon vivant, Richard Castillo
lost his brave 6-year battle with cancer on 11/6/09. He faced his illness and death as he lived his life- with courage, positivity and, above all, humor. His greatest passion was playing his drums, and his last two years of anchoring the sound of POTP, despite all his tribulations, were happy ones. He made our music better by playing it and our lives immeasurably better by being our friend. Our hearts go out to his wonderful family and many, many friends. A once-in-a-lifetime guy- we miss him terribly already...
To honor him, we're in the process of completing our first album, which we finished recording a few weeks before his passing. After that we'll take some time to regroup and keep rockin'. That's what he wanted......Keep bustin' dem tubs up dere, kid---LOVE, POTP.
