Inspiration/Sounds like:
Reminiscent of, and gaining their inspiration from such talents as The Birds, The Band C.S.N.Y. & Pink Floyd etc., etc. , their songs appeal to all ages (39-59). P.O.W. will “stone” you, “move” you, “vex” you! (How ever you choose to say it.)
Personnel:
The cast of this three peace project is made up of:
Kim Bos: vocals and percussion extraordinaire
Jud Barry: oboe, bassoon, elec bass, elec dulcimer, bagpipes recorders, etc., etc.
Lawson Garrett: acoustic guitars, woodrow dulcimer & vocals
And sometimes P.O.W. gets a little help from…
Mrs. Michelle Russell: flute
Origin & Venues:
P.O.W. hails from the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas of east Tn. / southwest, Va.
Formed in 2007 and primarily a “festival band,” with their debut gigs including appearances on 3 different stages at Bristol’s Rhythm & Roots Reunion, P.O.W. is right at home in such venues as the legendary Down Home, in Johnson City, Tn.; Java J’s coffee houses; K-town’s restaurants, branching out into Ashville N.C. and now even the celebrated Handlebar in Greenville S.C.!
Discography:
“A Rough Mix.” Recorded and released in 2006 / 07
Type: indie / bootleg Label: none
A collection of top 10 hits including: 1’s entitled “peace like a river”, “muse” & “never walk away.” LOL
Critique:
“Caught their act, closed my eyes and could vividly recall the daze of my youth, frequenting my favorite haunts in The Village back in the 70’s.”

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
