Peacock Butterfly was formed in August 2000 by Smokey, Mo and Stoni. We started as a jam-band, later Stoni and Mo decided to sing. We wrote some songs and recorded our 7 song debut in 2004/05.
In spring 2006 we met Atis (vocals ex-Defind, www.defind.org) at the legendary Batensen party. We all were on the same wavelength and so he got into the band as our main shouter.
We just finished the recordings on our 5 track E.P. ..Sick & Serious..... It..s kickinfaceliftingcockrockingmusicwithsoul, mofo!
Here are the latest things to tell you - we got a new drummer!!!
His name is Chris. The funniest thing of this story is, that he was a member of the hardcore band Defind, too - like Atis was.
We practised a few evenings and got on stage the first time with Chris on August 31, 2007 in Uelzen at the Mephisto, together with Amphaze and Kosmotonie.
On September 22nd, 2007 we released our E.P. "Sick & Serious" at the Schillers in Uelzen. It..s strictly limited - so try to get one ...
After a hot winter with some nice gigs we started to work on new tracks for the full lenght album.
