Pearland Adoption Center Doing what we do Posted at 6:52 PM Oct 30, 2008 view more
About me: Welcome to Pearland Animal Adoption Center's Myspace page. We are an animal control and adoption center in beautiful Pearland, Texas.
You can find us at 2002 Old Alvin Rd. Pearland Texas,77581
Our phone number is 281-652-1970
Our fax number is 281-652-1718
We have a variety of animals for adoption in our shelter.
We currently have 22 dog kennels and 38 cat kennels. Our shelter is on the smaller side, but we strive to provide the best possible care for all of our animals. We have many pets to choose from, and our main goal is to match the right pet with your family so you can have a lifetime bond with that new family member. Our adoption fee is only $100.00. That fee covers the cost of a spay or neuter, rabies vaccination, veterinarian exam (at time of surgery), initial kitten/puppy or dog/cat vaccinations, worming, heartworm screening on adult dogs, and heartworm prevention for ALL puppies/dogs while they are in our shelter.
We also do our best to provide our animals with enrichment time each day. Whether it is a volunteer, staff member, or a potential adopter, each animal is given as much personal time as we can give it daily.
For some animals this may only be a treat and a friendly voice to sooth them. No matter the dog’s disposition or behavior, they all deserve our respect and care while they are in our care.
If you are interested in adoption, volunteering and/or making a donation to our shelter, please contact us at 281-652-1970 or at * pearlandpets@ci.pearland.tx.us *and we will respond in the timeliest manner possible.
Thank you and remember to spay and neuter your pets!
Don't forget that as part of the Pedigree® adoption drive, Pedigree® also offers the Buy-A-Bag donation program. As a Friends Fur-ever member, your organization is automatically eligible. For people to easily donate food to any organization,go to Dogs Rule and click on the "Make a Donation" section shown towards the top right.
Each time a bag is ordered and donated, Pedigree will MATCH the donation! For example, if a supporter donates two bags of food to your organization, you will receive coupons in the mail from Pedigree for 4 FREE BAGS OF FOOD (in this example, two from your local supporter, plus two more bags matched by Pedigree)! You can't beat that!

No Time for Tears...
It’s so easy to condemn that person with the pole
But when you look you see just one and not the picture as a whole.
This isn’t just a job to us, this is our everyday
We see the battered bodies and broken spirits and can’t just walk away
Some of them seem to know that we are there to help
And for most it’s the only love they have ever felt
We didn’t create the problem but it’s our job to stop the pain
Sometimes there are so many it feels like it’s in vain
I wish that you could see the questions in their eyes
Answers that we don’t have, we can’t tell them why
As they lie there on the table and take that final breath
Our only comfort is, they won’t be cold or hungry after death
There is no time for tears but you can’t imagine how we feel
And the wounds that are inflicted will take far too long to heal
We carry around the guilt for the ones we couldn’t save
But we’ll come again tomorrow for the new ones here that day
They won’t know why you’ve left them or what it was they’d done
We know you won’t be back but they’ll still wait for you to come
Sometimes it makes us angry and we don’t understand
How you can make this mess but their deaths are on our hands
We will not give up, we will continue in our fight
To try and stop the hurt and try to end their plight
I hope that you can see we are not the ones to blame
Now on the streets or in the shelter will you still look at us the same?
