About me:

I am a twenty-one-year-old Lithuanian artist currently studying at Vilnius Academy of Arts to earn a bachelor's degree in Graphics. My true passion is digital art, and so far I have been exploring this medium mostly on my own. I create dreamlike imagery because many of my ideas are born during my daydreaming and sometimes from actual dreams. My art is also a reflection of how I see the current society because I tend to unconsciously employ elements associated with popular culture. Since my art is a mix between surrealism and pop art, I name my work as pop surrealistic. Sometimes my inspiration comes from everyday objects, words and phrases, colors and their combinations, music, and my emotional experiences. I am also inspired by both old masters and contemporary artists, as well as Western and Eastern cultures.

FAQ:
1. What techniques and software do you use to create your digital art?
When I first got all the necessary hardware and software needed to start creating digital art, I was using an airbrushing technique that is equivalent to the traditional techniques of drawing and painting. When I became more acquainted with a Photoshop program, I started experimenting with photo manipulation. Currently, I have been working with digital mixed media. Its creation process is similar to the one of a traditional collage except the artwork is created by composing digital photographs, three-dimensional objects, texture, custom brushes, and then drawing and painting with the help of a graphics editing program and a pen tablet. I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Wacom Intuos 3 tablet.

2. What techniques, tools, and materials do you use to create your traditional collages?
I compose them of cut and pasted paper. I use construction and patterned paper, glue stick, scissors, razor knife, pencils, and a pigment pen.
