FILM!!!! Movies! Books as well, and music. Animals, clean air, plant smells, Harry Potter, good sounds, life, etc.
I am a Subud member, and I highly encourage the watching of "What the ..$*! Do We Know!?"
Music
Grew up on Simon & Garfunkle and Cat Stevens and Veda Hille. I am head over heels for The Silk Road Ensemble. And Rockapella! They're fantastic. And I really love film scores! Man, if I had gotten into music as a child and was actually literate in it, that's totally the area of film I would go for. I am also dying to go to a Great Big Sea concert, but it might be a while before they make it to the southern hemisphere.
Movies
All, bar horrors. I enjoy watching "making of" extras on dvd's far more than any normal human has a right to. I love talking about movies, and generally drive my family and friends up the wall with comentary. Eternal Sunshine, Big Fish, LOTR, Harold and Maude, The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Live Flesh, Pan's Labrinth, The Sea Inside, Metropolis, and pretty much any Charlie Chaplin are some favourites...but I have *lots* more.
Television
I go through periods of watching way more tv than I have time for and then alternate it with watching hardly any at all. I love House. I do watch Rove pretty much every week. And recently I've been renting out shows on dvd from work, and making my way through old seasons of West Wing and Gilmore Girls.
Books
I Love
Harry Potter waaaaaaaay too much. And Narnia. Any and all Madeline L'Engle books, but especially the Austin series. The Giver, by Lois Lowrey; James Herriot (I will make the movies, some day); Mark Salzman; Phillip Pullman; Jane Austin; anthropology books; books that cost $1 at trash & treasure sales.

About me: Wow, it was really time to update this. Okay. If you're looking for the Maya Reynolds who is from Bellingham, WA and went to Sehome, that's me. If you're looking for the Maya Reynolds who lives in Texas and is an unpublished writer of romantic adventure novels, that is not me. Sorry.
Um, I just finished my BA in Film at Victoria Uni in Wellington, and now live in Christchurch with my lovely wonderful handsome fiance and our gorgeous kitten, Suki.
Final thoughts: I can do whatever I want! I'm eccentric!
The Sorting Hat would put you in Hufflepuff. You are reserved, rational, and down-to-earth. You work well with others, are a great team player, and you always take a stand against injustice.
Geeeez I spent all day taking pictures of parks that were NOT Whatcom Falls, and which one do you choose?!? Oh well, at least I got some great pictures. I thought for sure you'd pick Marine Park down by the ferry, that was my favorite! I guess we'll just go eat bagels there instead! Love ya! Maybe, if I have a moment with my head attached I'll call you this week... you don't get home until 5:30 though huh? Darn....
Hey Lady, Have you looked at the pictures I posted for you on myspace? You haven't left any comments so I wasn't sure if you saw them.... Look in my pictures for an Album that says "Looking for a park for M&M" or something like that.
hey, yeah I will post or send you some picures over email of the house and what the surrounding area looks like. But is it okay if I maybe wait until our patio is done, I think it would look a lot better with the patio done. Unless, it takes too long then I will send you some anyway, but hopefully we will be able to get the patio finished soon. Let me know if you really need to see the pictures soon and I will take some before the patio is finished just so you guys can see it anyway.
Oh thank you, thank you!! You are so sweet. I really enjoyed talking to you last night especially since it was a surprise because I didn't expect you to call. Over all it was a good birthday, nothing spectacular, but it was good. Love you lots and talk to you soon.
It is slowly improving. The little one has been spending the whole night sleeping on the bed with us, and Kia finally came up last night and slept with us for a bit too, on the other side of the bed, but just the same, thats a huge step! How is Spring coming along? As far as I can tell we're more on the brink of autumn/winter than summer/autumn!
I know we are silly aren't we. But we decided not to look for another dog anymore. Onyx if enough. We just thought she might like another dog to keep her company, but I guess she doesn't.
Actually he had the name Buddy when we got him and since he is already 2 years old, we thought he might get confused if we changed it. But I thought it was funny too, hehe. I've had a few days to get used to it though and the name fits him.
I love Ferndale. It's hickish and yickyo, but it's friendly and I love it. lol, nice to know every country has a Ferndale though. I didn't really pierce her ears, but I'm tempted almost every day. How are you? How's life? What's new? Did you convince Richard that he's not gay yet? (If not, keep trying)
Hey, that's funny, I remember those times when we used to sit around and try to find something to do. Ahhh, the good old days when I didn't have a ton of stuff to do. I've been meaning to talk to you again. Busy busy times...love you lots.
I'm really fantasticly, ultra, amazingly, very very very happy that I got to talk to you too!!!!!!!!!! I hope we can talk again soon. I love you lots and lots!!
Gosh darn it, we're never online at the same time! I have stuff to tell you! And certainly loads to complain about - like the fact that the nearest bagel bakery is 17.4 miles from my place - and I don't even know if they have GOOD bagels. Its a shame.
Hey, I got your message from earlier. Sorry I couldn't talk tonight, it was a hectic night and now I have to go to bed. Hopefully we can catch up soon. Love you lots.
Wow, it sounds like alot has been going on for you right now. I've been pretty busy too so I guess I haven't been able to go on the computer as much as I would like to check and see if you are there but I will check whenever I can. Love you and miss you lots too.
Oh my gosh! I want to come! I signed up for a class this summer that is a week at a farm - where we work on the farm and make our own food, its something like "farm culinary excursion" or something rather...The closest I can get to a commune around here. I am also signed up for an organic gardening class. Soooo exciting! Did you see the picture of your foot? Beautiful!
I (finally) uploaded a handful of pictures, one of which has the finished tattoo.. I hope to upload more of the summer pictures soon.... go take a look!
Hey, I just thought I would say hi. Its finally the weekend. I'm so glad. Its been snowing off and on alot here. I forgot to tell you last time I talked to you that we got a car that is just like the Subaru you used to drive except its blue. I thought that was kind of funny. We got it for free from Karla's husband's dad and Conrad put a new engine in it because it was messed up and I've been driving it in the snow and it does really good so I'm glad we got it. So, have you gotten your computer back/fixed yet? Also, how is school and work going? I don't think I asked you that last time I talked to you either. Well, talk to you later. Lots of love :)
