Pedro Bermudez was born in Santurce Puerto Rico in 1976. He began study music and latin percussion at the age of 10. after listen to jazz, and brazilian music he decided to study the jazz piano and arranging for this concepts at the age of 16 and get in musical styles he was listening in those years.
he came to US in his early 20' and did study with musicians like the great legend and bepop co -founder Jimmy Heath, pianist Andy laverne Brazilian pianist Jovino Santos Neto. He began playing in Puerto Rico with one of the most important latin ensembles of Latin America "Batacumbele" that world known percussion virtuoso Giovanni Hidalgo was one of their founder back in the early 80's. Pedro did work with Batacumbele for about 3 years. After that he began to play with most of the famous salsa bands Like Willie Rosario y Su Orq , Tony Vega, Tito Allen and Roberto Roena y su Apollo Sound. he has been one of the most first choices salsa and latin jazz musicians in Puerto Rico for about 8 years. in 2001 he won a first place full scholarship from Berklee college of music in the program berklee in Puerto Rico. In 2006 he moved To New York City area and began the brazilian piano with Cidinho Teixeira now is finishing his first album as a soloist and composer called "The Dreamer" that will be release soon with musicians like Eddie Gomez, Duduka Da Fonseca, Oscar Stagnaro, Ivan Renta, Felipe Salles and Piro Rodriguez.I made this layout with help from pYzam, Look at these other Layouts!
