Ever since he was 14 years old, Peter could be found behind the decks. Those days, before mixing was the thing, it was disco and the likes that came from the speakers. After hearing the mixing skills of people like Ben Liebrand, he though it was a cool skill to master and started practicing with turntables that didn't have pitch control. Nevertheless he became skilled in mixing in that way, all to the pleasure of the regulars in the clubs he played in.
Nine years later, at the age of 23, Peter stopped playing the clubs and said farewell to the decks. For a long period he was only passively involved in music, but nevertheless did evolve his music taste to stay up to date on the latest developments in dance music.
In 2003, things started itching again. And when Peter got in contact with a local radio station it wasn't long before he hosted a show together with his co-host Bert, playing the latest and hottest in electronic dance music.
From that Peter picked up spinning records again and his alter ego Pedro Sombra was born.
Nowadays, Pedro Sombra is synonymous for a deep, progressive but always energetic sound. Playing the smaller events most of the time, Pedro Sombra enjoys it most when he is able to warm up the gathered crowd for more to come.
Even though Peter has a very successful daytime job and doesn't pursue a career as a professional dj, he is available for bookings at your event. So if you're looking for a dj spinning those progressive (house and trance) tunes, you know who to contact....
