BIO - Peez a.k.a. “Brett Bars” was born on December 30th, 1988 as Jance Payne in Huntington, England. (You heard right…ENGLAND.) He is now playing basketball for Grand Rapids Community College for a second year in a row. Though he is very talented in basketball, when asked about rapping, he feels that that will be what pays the bills at the end of the day. He has started to take rhyming much more seriously, starting with writing more every day. Thanks to his mentors Freck Billionaire and Animal $teele, he is now a part of the "CBL" camp which stands for the “City of Brotherly Love” (otherwise known as Philadelphia of course!) He is actually not from Philly, but resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he still reps "CBL" to the fullest.
Peez’s rapping career began as just a joke. He put out a mixtape in 2006 to just play around, but upon receiving good feedback for his flashy style and hard punchlines, he started to take it more seriously. He, along with his partner Killah (his best friend who started him rapping in the first place), started a group called Da Movement. The group consisted of Peez, Killah, Juice, B.K., AK, and Bankroll. He continues to make music with Da Movement , but is also trying his solo thing. If and when he gets on, Peez says he will definitely get his group involved so that they can “eat too”. As far as his solo career goes, Peez definitely wants to put on for Grand Rapids like Floyd Mayweather (retired champion boxer) did, and wants his boys—they know who they are—to know that he is going to take care of them too!
