Twice Mastered Trans-Illusion Bubble Wropolis: Begining stages have found us throwing rotten bionic apples at eachother while people watch. Sometimes, ghost rabbits appear and give gifts to special audience member. Usually not. Usually clouds extend from fingertips and embrace with very good sense of taste and smell.
We were being and knowing That two were one, and we were three In twelve sided cosmos, drifting by I wasn’t seeing I was feeling And wasn’t being, doing, two were one And when I looked to it Nothing but the corner of my eye Then we were three, and being Being and doing I hadn’t known that two were one We were that same one, and being When I know, I feel I see that two were one We were three and being Drifted through twelve sides And we were being Knowing that two were one And falling there on clouds like stars We were three and known We were one, I don’t know I was being, doing, but I knew That two were one And clouds flow down Drifting, we know, and see Doing, and knowing we were three And knowing two were one That two were one.
OLD TIME RELIJUN!!! I am so excited about this. Old Time Relijun is a band that was born in Olympia, Washington, in 1995 and has been released ever since on the legendary "K Records" label (yes, the same label whose symbol Kurt Cobain tattooed on his forearm). But don't think of them as essentially nineties: this band stuck out like a sore, bleeding thumb from their contemporaries back then and they've only grown and transformed ever since. Too psychotic to be clearly categorized within punk or hardcore, Old Time Relijun plays an wildly energetic and fun and danceable ecstatic frenzy that is as close to noise as it is to some kind of Gypsy/Klezmer/South American hybrid. Singer Arrington De Dionyso screams and wails in Portuguese and Spanish and Italian as well as English. I've been listening to them for a while but I've never seen them live and word is, they're way better live than on their CDs. So check it.
Ian Downey Is Famous The Grievants
A couple of punk bands, sort of... or bands that refuse punk as much as anything else, or something.
We knew there was no way to change We should never have felt the way that we did But when the sun had crested, we fell away There was nothing left to argue, you knew it You were the only one left We threw ourselves down at your side And you turned your head away, you weren’t surprised After all you knew who was the first one
Stretched out on the sand you showed no lines Your lotions went on smoothly disappearing Only grains of sand visible on your skin The sky found no impediment to you body You tore down all the barriers yourself You were the one between us and the rising sun But you were the one that blinded We could see no lines there
No more games are tolerated you say And we know that flinching now could be dangerous You know that you are the one that they believe in You are the one who is the last one A threat to us is deeply understood And we can’t last much longer If you become what you say we are Your way is set in stone, no one will ever know
Your descent to the valleys was fluid One step followed another, content in the knowing That no snow could ever touch you Those icy feathers all around you sublime in fear It was all so understandable to us They knew they could never match you
(Catherine: verse 3 and refrain) (From the Amara EP)
Were you lonely or only certain? We can’t be certain, but we feel Anyone could guess what you were thinking The way we found you in time, frozen Your eyes locked on us forever There was no one else there but us And it didn’t even seem to matter That you could be everything you were While we stand in plain sight hiding
We really felt like we were there with you At the time you gave yourself away so fully That we believed in what you wanted Please don’t let us be mistaken You are everlasting, in our world You are everlasting
dear pegacide, thanks for playing two shows with us this weekedn. it was all sorts of fun and we all love your music. we'll see you again quite soon. love, the grievants
Your walk to us was paralyzing So hot the sweating stopped, we were in trouble then Feeling so dizzy we couldn’t remember how You rolled over us like liquid lead Too slow, leaving those blisters on our skin And we leave slow trails to mark our passing It just left you laughing, simple syrup is ready And mixes in no traces left marking But then you left it at that, no others left If the waters will take us and cool
A glance burned through the licorice ropes We bound you with, empty calories couldn’t hold you over Tapped and wilt us with the green of your eyes Slick from the saturation you’ll find yourself Trying to grasp the true separation Of pleasure and pain, eternal through now You’ll let yourself feel the occasional attack And stretch like taffy in preparation of the water That sprays with bubbles when you slip inside
(Seraphina: verse 2 and refrain) (From the Amara EP)
