The illustrious mythical pegasus's Interests
|
| General | Breathing oxygen, going to the cinema, collecting chainsaws, not-dying, partying with figments of my imagination, smearing black out-of-date bananas on my hairless armpits. If it's a Thursday & the temperature is a mild lukewarm breeze, then i'm quite partial to dipping my chin into a basket of limescale whilst listening to Babylon Zoo. | | Music | Basically i love anything that emits from Michael Douglas's stereo-articulated voice, whether it be his classical stuff or his latvian-choir-rap. Ive got most of his L.P.s. However, being a rabid collector, I still search the corners of this planet for his live acoustic version of "Wuthering Heights", were he collabarated with Gregg Alexander of the New Radicals. I heard it once & it hit such a high level of sonic perfection that my ear wax shrivelled in awe. | | Movies | (Drum Roll)...Fight Club, The Lion King, American Beauty, Batman Begins, Pride & Predjudice, Spirited Away, Ferris Bueller, Star Wars, Gladiator, House of Flying Daggers, A Time to Kill, Runaway Jury, Fear 'N' Loathin', Brick, Apocalypto, Pulp Fiction, Shakin' Stevens Live in the East Kilbride Shopping Centre, Sin City, Clerks, Save the last dance, Mallrats, X-men, LOTR, POTC, It's a Wonderful Life...etc etc etc. | | Television | De a nis? & Weirs Way grace my tiny little box that spits out pshycadelic cathode-rays at me. If i'm really quite especially good, mother may let me watch a snippet of the Antiques Roadshow. I like to watch Home Alone the animated series too. I don't have a cat. I do have a kashmir bicycle pump. If i did have a cat, i would call it "Petals" & stroke it tenderly like a piece of norweigan bacon, right before I danced with my sensational scandinavian shoelaces. | | Books | My favourite book is probably Where's Wally? In my opinion, it's just a sensational specimen of a post-victorian modern literal anthology which gives so much cultural insight to a contrasting expansion of plot, yet it still maintains an intriguing development of metaphorical charaterisation via it's legitimate iambic alliteration and it's reinforced metaphysical similes.
Recently, After 5 months of strenous hardcore reading, i've finally reached the final chapter of the 1983 Sesame Street Annual. It was good. I liked big bird. He was good aswell. I liked the Cookie Monster. He was good too.
My next book, seems to be quite fascinating already. It takes a different tone from most traditional literary pieces. It is called the "Yellow Pages". It has many characters. Sometimes I struggle to keep up with who's who. I guess, i need to read more. | | Heroes | Yup it's the saviour of the last 2 centuries.....Tom Weir from Weir's Way. One month in North Japan, i was part of a ruby-hunting expedition, where Tom was our leader. The weather was deteriorating like a dead pigeons sweat & a nasty storm got the better of the group. Everyone was arguing, fighting & weeping like a willow. Many began to cry in anxiety. But not Tom! No way mon amis!
Tom got up on his feet & raised his PVC umbrella into the shiny air & yelled "Begone stormy weather, you do not scare me & neither does Montel Williams!" In fury of Tom's defiance, the storm began to rain down huge, piping-hot, tortoise shells which smashed up our tents & everything in them except our Aqua cds. It was so scary. Chaos was all around & the group blamed Tom for the fury of the weather, leading them to run off. However, Tom told everyone to stay and hold his hand if they wanted to live. I didn't know what to do. Everyone had ran off & here was Tom staring at me with his hand outstretched. I looked at my Pj & Duncan pyjamas long and hard. Suddenly, ..old me that i should trust Tom and at that point I reached out & grabbed his wrinkled but oh-so-tender hand. Tom yelled something, that i couldn't quite make out. In a flash of light, Gwen Stefani came swooping from the clouds, sitting on her wild-flying-mexican-boar & took us to a place of refuge. As for the rest of the group, their fate remains unknown. The last I heard was that they were kidnapped by giant arctic seals. I owe so much to Tom. He saved my life. Now, every night before I go to bed, I look to the sky & say Godspeed you, Tom Weir! |
