| General | I LOVE antiques and going to resale shops. I love watching a good TV movie and also movies in the theatre. I love eating healthy and walk four miles a day. I have lost around 65 pounds in the last 18 months so I am in the best shape of my life since about 25 years ago. I also love reading magazines and talking to my big sister on my cell phone often. Favorite thing would be walking the beach, reading on the beach, splashing on the beach, or sitting on my patio in my new rocker drinking my green tea. I love nature and the simple things of life. I also get a high from walking everyday. Exercise has changed my life--wish I had taken it up years ago. | | Music | I love 60's and 70's music, I listen to Christian music a lot--find it very soothing. I also love some classical and CW. Music is really my passion and although I did not pursue it for a career, both my daughters are. My mother was a musician and also my sister. | | Movies | I enjoy watching movies a lot, especially since it was so much a part of my career-being a drama teacher. Favorite movies: My Left Foot, Gone with the Wind, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Braveheart. Best actors/actresses I love: Daniel Day Lewis and Meryl Streep.My favorite deceased actors/actresses would be Jimmy Stewart, Sir Laurence Olivier, Kathryn Hepburn,and Betty Davis. | | Television | I watch very little t.v. now. But when I do, I like to watch Joel osteen because of his upbeat messages, and also a good movie. I like reruns of Bonanza, Andy Griffin, I Love Lucy. Those old shows were so awesome! | | Books | I read Oswald Chambers devotional book and my Bible everyday. I think the Bible is a great book! I feel reading it is life changing! I plan on reading the Twilight books and also jeannie Oke books. | | Heroes | Jacqueline Kennedy--she had dignity and grace. She endured a lot-- She was a fantastic mother and held a country together for four days during a very turbulent time. Billy Graham--a preacher who was honest and had great authority. Angelina Jolie--although I don't agree with a lot of her lifestyle--I respect the fact that she has made people aware of the poor and is a good will ambassador for our country to other third world countries. She lives what she preaches by adopting children from other countries who are orphans. And of course Mother Teresa--a selfless woman who made sure the poor died with dignity. My daughters--they are amazing--always stayed strong through tough times--never lost faith! |

About me:
I just retired after 30 years as a teacher , the last eight being at Palacios High School. I have two beautiful daughters---one named Erica who lives in Nashville, Tennesee with her husband Kyle. She is a former music teacher; however, she is now doing Christian concerts around the US and is recording her music and also helps her husband Kyle, who is a film maker and in the entertainment industry. My other daughter Ashley will be a junior at Sam Houston in the fall and is also a music major and will be a music therapist. My hobbies are antiquing, remodeling my older home, music, watching movies, and walking . I consider my family and Christian faith my biggest priorities in life. I believe God is a big reason for living and try to make Him an important part of my life. I would love to hear from my former students. I have numerous of them after teaching in eight different schools in Texas, ranging from West Texas to North Texas, to the Panhandle, Central Texas, and now the Gulf Coast.Let me know how you're doing--especially you PHS former students! I will miss you!

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis if alive, and also Jesus, of course. I would also love to meet Donald Trump, Billy Graham, Joel and Victoria Osteen, Oprah Winfrey, Daniel Day Lewis , Robert Redford, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt,Michelle Obama, and Stephen Hawkins.
