It's with great pride and pleasure that I share stages in and around Asheville, NC with a plethera of outstanding humans who also happen to be musicians. Peggy Ratusz & Daddy Longlegs is made up a number of variable spider men. Duane "Daddy LongLeg" Simpson (6'6") is as long on style and intuition, and is as smokin' on his guitar, as his long physique! Mike Barnes is Asheville's guitar hero. His prowess as a monster guitar player is not matched by his laid back persona both on and off stage. This humble gentleman has played with Warren Haynes and John Scofield and countless other who's whos. Mike Rothacker and Wayne Cox are both phenomenal electric bass players who grace the stage at various gigs. Wayne is a native Ashevillian while Mike is a transplant from Miami, FL. Both incredibly nice guys. Jake Wolf is another great 6 string, fretless bass player who I grab from my new friend, Kellin Watson sometimes. Thank you Kellin! "All the Way" Joey K is the slick new drummer from L.A. He came to play the BLUEZ BABY! He holds the reigns, and we wouldn't want it any other way with the amount of jamming we do. Jim "Awesome" Arendell, also from Kellin Watson's band, helps me out from time to time on the skins. Scott Craver, on harmonica, brings new meaning to the mouth organ. Scott and I, together with Duane Simpson on Arch Top guitar, won 2007's Piedmont Blues Preservation Society's Blues Challenge. We're on our way to Memphis to compete in 2008 for the grand prize. See our myspace page for samples of our throwback Blues sounds at myspace.com/bigroadblues. I've been hangin' out in clubs, festivals, benefits and private parties for longer then I care to admit. A bunch of people, from music reviewers to the bride's cousin's brother-in-law, have complimented me for having a great set of pipes. It does my heart and self esteem real real good to hear them say such nice things.

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.
GREAT show this weekend at The Garage! Good grief, I'm still in awe re: that big ole wonderful voice of yours, woman! We really enjoyed seeing you again and look forward to more great music soon.
