A comienzos del 2005 Amhin Castellanos(bajo y vocales) y Juan Pablo Cajiao(teclados y programaciones) desaplicados compañeros de universidad ,se reúnen para fabricar un poco de música,escuchar algunos viejos casettes y desempolvar sus viejos artefactos. Con cajas de ritmos salidas de organetas casio,melodías frescas,bajos distorcionados,voces fresas desafinadas y un reinventado carácter post punk maquinero ,estos dos músicos deciden crear PEINADOSNUEVOS ,haciendo también un prudente homenaje al sonido de 8 bits,el crujiente chirriar de los betamaxes y películas como mad max.
En el 2006 graban su primer demo con el productor musical Jhon paul rodriguez el cual contiene los temas Arcoiris de tv,La chica de los betamaxes,Barbies sabor a fresa y Are you ready ,un extraño dub salido de una sesión con el productor, con este demo logran establecerse en los círculos melómanos virtuales y empiezan una gira por bares especializados de Bogotá.
En el 2007 graban el video clip de ‘’Arcoíris de tv’’ bajo la dirección de María Alejandra Martín el cual es rotado por algunos canales locales y programas habituales, este mismo año contactan al Productor musical David Pinzón y empiezan la grabación de su primer larga duración que contiene 10 tracks entre estos están Interzona incorporada,sucia punki punk,novela pop,zapatos rosa,matakchioner Are you ready, y nuevas versiones de arcoíris de tv ,la chica de los betamaxes , barbies sabor a fresa.
Con este cd sigue un recital en el teatro Jorge Eliecer Gaitan,Fetivales, conciertos por bogota,cali,y buenos aires,una extraña separación de la banda y proyectos paralelos de los dos integrantes.
Peinados , como lo llaman sus Fans, pretende ambientar un poco la sencillez y espontaneidad visual y musical, que todos vivimos cada fin de semana.
Los que han estado en alguno de sus Shows pueden tener un explosivo recuerdo de la especial descarga pop, punk, New Wave, o como ellos denominan su propio sonido Casio punk.
