ABLE DANGER formed late summer 2007, when two smelly dudes from the north towns of Buffalo, QUINCY and MÄNSHÖVEL met two smellier dudes from the south towns of Buffalo, SEXER and KOOPA, and proceeded to get wasted. In good-spirit, they started a hardcore punk band.
Inspired by the notorious NSA intelligence gathering program focused on the 9/11 hijackers, the band felt the name was indicative of the frighteningly Orwellian world of the '00's. "Also," adds guitarist MÄNSHÖVEL, "it kinda sounded cool."
Two years later, after a tour of Puerto Rico in late-'08, the release of their debut 7" EP entitled "...Wing It!" on Feral Kid Records in early-'09, an East Coast US tour in summer-'09, followed by several personnel changes, ABLE DANGER haven't skipped a beat.
A festering cold sore on the crusty lower lip of the national punk scene, ABLE DANGER are ready to burst on all who are exposed to their infectiously catchy brand of hardcore-punk. If you're gonna see these guys live, wear a rubber!
