About me:
Pencils! Writing Workshop has become a vibrant place in which to get inspired, share your work, get feedback, and get motivated. It's also a place where writers - typically very isolated people in many respects - get a chance to socialize with like minds.
Pencils! Members create in a variety of styles: there are poets, children's writers, sci-fi and fantasy wizards, short and flash fiction jotters, novelists, freelance article scribblers and newspaper and business aficionados, even the occasional photographer. We embrace all types of written work. . .all we ask is an open ear, an open mind, and a sensitive ear toward constructive, NOT destructive, criticism - as well as the ability to accept criticism for the intent of improving your work, for continuing to grow.
We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month at ShopRite in Norwalk, Connecticut, in a private room on the second floor. Our membership is strong and growing, and we are open to anyone and everyone. Sharpen your pencils and check us out!
