I learned to appreciate the gift of music at a very young age and grew to love it unconditionally as an adult.
My mom always use to sing and play the guitar for me and I would always enjoy singing with her. I grew up singing in church and at family gatherings and occasionally got to listen to my uncle Spanky sing his gospel music with my aunts. I remember being about five years old riding in the car with my father coming home from my grannys house and hearing my first chicago song. AFter the song finished playing, my dad looked over at me and said "pinky now thats good music". From then on i kept my mind open to all music and over the years I grew to love bands like earth wind and fire, casey and the sunshine band, chicago, and the carpenters as well as mariah carey, brian adams, and various other artist.
By the time i was in highschool i had been in chorus in elementary school and sang in the church choir as well. I joined the band in 6th grade and learned how to read music and play the flute. I continued to play the flute for six years with one and a half of that being in the marching band. I would write songs and poems for lovers and friends and occasionally even my family. Then My senior year of highschool my mother passed away and i quit doing anything with Music. I graduated highschool and began my search for new experiences, people and places.
A year later i moved to tampa, fl and started cooking for embassy suites hotel. Two years after that i decided to take a chance and move to chicago, il.
Best move of my life. I got discovered by David Duffin who is now my co-manager and co-writer.
