Penn Foster College is designed especially for busy people who know what they want out of life, but don't have the time to attend classes.We all know that having the right skills is vitally important in today's competitive job market. It all started in 1890 with a newspaper man named Thomas J. Foster who recognized that working adults with ambition needed a more convenient way to learn advanced skills. He developed the distance-learning method as a way of helping anthracite coal miners become mine superintendents and foremen. Over the years his vision grew into a successful business and, by 1945, 5,000,000 students had enrolled in Penn Foster programs and today that number has grown to more than 13,000,000!
