Penny Broadhurst & The Maffickers believe in hooks, harmonies, passion and pop. Mafficking means to celebrate riotously. Are you a Mafficker?
Penny and the band have played Wireless, Indietracks, Latitude, Truck, Moor Music, Solfest, Ladyfest and Glastonbury festivals and been played on BBC Radio 1, Xfm, BBC 6 Music, Dandelion Radio, Radio Magnetic etc as well as local and internet radio stations. They have supported the likes of Patrick Wolf, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Sky Larkin, Wintermute, Melt Banana... Penny was shortlisted by the BBC World Service for their Next Big Thing and the Guardian wrote an introducing sort of piece about her, which got some things wrong but was still very nice. There's been a bit of blog excitement about the band too, which is always fun, especially when they come up with even more Penny puns.
Penny Broadhurst & The Maffickers are available for records, gigs and picnics. Hurray!

just listened to the rest of the songs on the player. Only on thing to say. How long till the album? Felt that "The End" is an interesting concept. As is Market Forces. They stand out. Bring on the London Gig. David
