Me and a friend drove from NC to West Virginia. I put this CD in the player. After the first couple of songs my friend asked me what CD was playing. I told her it was Pennycuff. She said "I've never heard of them but I have got to have this CD." Awesome job! I love all the songs. My favs are Upside of Comin Down and Beautiful Day. Can't wait to hear more from these guys.

Stunning album

This is the best album in any genre I have bought this year. It's been played to death - there isn't a duff track on it, every song has it's own magic, and quite frankly if you haven't got a copy yet - why the hell not???

"This album stands out from the crowd of blues players.
Featuring lyrics that seem to be rooted in an intimate
singer/songwriter perspective, the vocals match that aesthetic
perfectly, managing to be gravelly and heartfelt all at the same
time. The playing is full of heart as well, showcasing some
traditional blues grooves but comfortably sliding in and out before
it gets stale." (CDBABY.COM)

So do you guys have any shows coming up soon? Need a music fix (the good stuff)! I'll make a self serving suggestion: Make a venture up to Kokomo- there are some decent places to jam....and this town is in dire need of some real tunes!!!!! Just make sure it is some place with a dance floor!!! :)
Thank you for taking a listen to my music. Glad you liked what you heard!
I hope you'll stop by www. davidshelbymusic. com to hear a sampling of all the tracks from my debut CD, I Came to Play. I look forward to hearing what you think.
