Learn how to write songs that will not only come to define you as a talented singer but as a hit songwriter, as well.
Learn how to play piano and/or guitar by learning basic chords and rhythms and become more independent as a songwriter and a performer. You don’t even need to learn how to read music. All you need is a basic understanding of how melody and chords work together.
Record your original songs in a recording studio knowing upfront about how you would like your songs produced, upfront and back end costs, studio etiquette, etc..
Once you have recorded your songs learn the ropes of submitting your music to the right people and how to develop follow up techniques that will maximize your outcomes.
Perform in a Hollywood music industry showcase with a full five piece professional band backing your original music. During this segment you will also learn how to coordinate rehearsal sessions and what will be expected of you.
Create a music website to capture the eyes and ears of influential industry professionals.
Learn the “ins and outs” of copyrighting songs, publishing contracts, record sale royalities, personal management contracts and commissions, finding the right entertainment attorney, etc.
Penny works with artists in songwriting development privately and at venues such as The Hollywood Pop Academy, The LA Recording School, The LA Film School, and The Learning Annex. She works with artists from all over the USA, Australia, Denmark, England, and Ireland. She writes with major label recording artists as well as unsigned artists teaching beginning to advanced songwriting, artist development, and assisting them in making strategic music career choices.
